Vernissage II

All the Sippers (except for Julie who lives in Tallahassee) were together again for our Vernissage II: Reflections of Provence. Translated from the French, vernissage means “varnishing.” It was the day before the opening of an art exhibition traditionally reserved for the artist to varnish the paintings. Today it means a reception at a gallery for an artist whose show is about to open to the public. The opening Saturday night was the culmination of works painted from the trip to Provence last summer, and proved to be a huge success. Thanks to Skye and Chris of Marketplace Jewelers, it was so much fun we decided to do it every year! Thanks to all those who braved the cold weather to support us, and we missed those of you who couldn’t get there. Here is what you missed:

  1. I have been enjoying these postings all along–LOVE the work–and was especially happy to see a lovely photo of you in this batch, Mary Ann. What delightful experiences you offer and inspire in these artists. Keep up the great work, and thank you so much for allowing us to share these journeys with you in some small way. Cheers–Diane Strickland Turner
