Johnny Angel’s

Johnny Angel’s off St. John’s Bluff in Jacksonville was hard to find, but once there our Cafe Sketching class had a grand time in this eclectic retro diner. We were on visual overload as we tried to take in everything: Elvis, Marilyn, James Dean, the juke box and neon signs. Artists have to be selective…. The owner, Salem, even gave Arlene a kiss after she showed him her marvelous work. It was a good day to spend inside and listen to the rain. This was our last regular class, but we may all get together to sketch “High Tea” at Ashes at the beach in a few weeks.

  1. Wow! They are good and what fun. I have been judging a Spelling Bee and doing I am not sure what but have been busy. I am free tomorrow afternoon after 3pm if you are available for tea or coffee. Nancy

  2. Thanks for review of your indicated final official meeting of the group. I am sure
all will miss these interesting sessions and hope that there will be future such
opportunity to have “re-runs”. Best wishes to all. Paul

  3. Congratulations on Sketchers’ diversity in locale. Looked great fun!. We recently attended a “sock hop” party – a celebration of friend’s 50th anniversary. No drawing, but cokes, moon pies and dancing. Happy Sketching!
