This is the story of eight artists from Florida on a painting trip to Provence, France, in June 2013. We call ourselves The Sippers – SIP for Sketchers in Provence (though we will also be enjoying the products of the local vineyards). Most of us are art teachers – some retired, some still shaping young minds. All of us are friends. We will be staying in two houses in the tiny village of Pernes-les-Fontaines, have two cars and a full schedule of traveling around the countryside to paint. Our accommodations have been made by my longtime friends at Untours, who arrange “independent travel with support.” Come with us on our journey. A bientôt!
